Jul 19, 2021 · As long as you are within limits of your tow vehicle you should be good. But you may like how your truck tows with airbags vs without. Try it stock a few times then go from there on your preference. Some may add air bags or sway bar. Stay within your limits and add the support where you feel it is needed. Emphasis on the might. I had a 88 t-6 and i think it rode better but had more sway. One of the good is that its a very stable suspension.

Jun 20, 2007 · Dump trucks can roll over quickly before you know it your laying on the side whoops One of the local contractors bought a used dump on air ride suspension had a novice driver on it the first day the driver blew both rear bags. I think it was from them being overloaded. Truck is a tractor conversion.

May 15, 2014 · No. Anti sway or anti roll bars keep the coach from rocking side to side. Track bars do just that, they keep your differential in track with your frame. Feb 2, 2015 · You don't NEED anything but bags will be noticeably nicer. I use mine whenever I tow/haul anything. I normally go with 50 psi towing 10K or so (bumper) and up to 92 psi with more in the bed than I should admit. I went with separate lines (duh) and chucks in the bed for each bag. Almost like a sway bar.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Dump your load air first, trailer or drives on a straight truck! The auto levelers will try to compensate for the sway in the bed/ground!

Nov 10, 2022 · My heavy haul has dual levelers, and in my opinion it is the only way to go. The truck is much more stable than others I have been around with single levelers. I think it would be cheap insurance for a dump. I also have a single axle water truck with air bags and a single leveler, and I can't believe it has not been tipped over yet.

Dec 28, 2012 · Only the older new way air ride could slightly compete becase of its larger air bags,spring like articulation and multi leveling valves. The new way is a great heavy haul set up as you can control hight, and reduce road shock. I think that lowboy and otr trucks do better with airide. Dump trucks better with spring.

Jan 28, 2016 · The upper air bag pedestals broke in two on mine due to corrosion. Plus there was a little aluminum block that the air line went through that would corrode to the line. Grrr. For coaches that ride on air and have no provisions for mounting sway bars (or if you're just looking or a simple, less expensive way to control sway) we can install our SuperSteer Motion Control Units, which control the airflow into and out of the bags, therefore reducing sway.
