Learn MoreJul 19, 2021 · As long as you are within limits of your tow vehicle you should be good. But you may like how your truck tows with airbags vs without. Try it stock a few times then go from there on your preference. Some may add air bags or sway bar. Stay within your limits and add the support where you feel it is needed. Emphasis on the might. I had a 88 t-6 and i think it rode better but had more sway. One of the good is that its a very stable suspension.

I think it was from them being overloaded. Truck is a tractor conversion.

I normally go with 50 psi towing 10K or so (bumper) and up to 92 psi with more in the bed than I should admit. I went with separate lines (duh) and chucks in the bed for each bag. Almost like a sway bar.

I think it would be cheap insurance for a dump. I also have a single axle water truck with air bags and a single leveler, and I can't believe it has not been tipped over yet.

Learn MoreDec 28, 2012 · Only the older new way air ride could slightly compete becase of its larger air bags,spring like articulation and multi leveling valves. The new way is a great heavy haul set up as you can control hight, and reduce road shock. I think that lowboy and otr trucks do better with airide. Dump trucks better with spring.
