All dump trucks I have ever encountered have a single action cylinder meaning the oil pump forces oil into the bottom to push the cylinder out, gravity lowers it. Jul 6, 2007 · I was at the dump today, pull the tarp off the trailer, open the tailgate, push the button and watch the dump bed raise all the way to the top, drive the truck forward tell I clear the load, check that everything is out, then I push the button to lower the bed – nothing happens!

Feb 4, 2013 · Today the controller from inside the truck is completely dead, no up or down, when pressing the buttons there's no noise from motor for dump or anything. Checked all connections. Cleaned all nuts that hold wires on with wire brush and still nothing. Any help and/or ideas as to what it could be are appreciated.

A) The dump body, door, latches and hydraulics could be damaged by that type of contact and movement. B) The transmissions on these types of vehicles is extremely low-geared to accommodate heavy loads and could be damaged by being pulled or pushed by other than its own powerplant (engine). Jan 29, 2021 · Its wired into the trailer light plug in going to the truck to charge the trailer battery. There is a 20A flat spade fuse in the harness to the trailer battery that is mounted on the trailer. When I raise the dump box (with trailer plugged into truck) it will run for maybe 5 seconds and you can watch the fuse pop.

Apr 16, 2012 · Yes you have a bad solenoid. If you can, skip the solenoid and jump directly to the motor. When you do get it up, make sure you prop it up with the attached prop supports or with a piece of metal from the underside to the ground. That is why I stopped running electric lifts on the small trucks years ago, some of the most undependable crap around.
